Senior Product Manager, Growth - GitLab

About the Role

As a Growth Senior Product Manager, you will own GitLab's self-serve product journey end-to-end, from a visitor's first interaction through trial, activation, and paid conversion. You will consolidate acquisition, activation, and monetization into a single connected experience, utilizing experimentation and product data to drive growth across the full funnel.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Ownership: Manage the self-serve journey, including signup, trial, activation, and monetization.
• Data-Driven Strategy: Use product usage and event data to identify high-impact growth opportunities and maintain a continuous test-and-learn cadence.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Design, and Data teams to scope, sequence, and ship experiments.
• Outcome Focused: Define success metrics for initiatives and align roadmap decisions with customer and revenue outcomes.
• Autonomy: Operate within a small, autonomous team, taking full ownership of your roadmap and results.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in product management, ideally within a self-serve or product-led growth funnel.
• Strong technical understanding of how software is built, packaged, deployed, and operated.
• Proficiency in SQL and a hypothesis-driven approach to product decision-making.
• Expertise in experimentation and A/B testing with a track record of measurable improvements.
• Ability to work directly with production usage and event data.
• Excellent written and spoken English with experience working asynchronously in a distributed team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with growth frameworks (acquisition/activation loops, PQLs).
• Prior experience at a Product-Led Growth (PLG) company.
• Experience with GitLab, Git workflows, or developer tools/DevOps products.
• Experience engaging with customers in a B2B setting.
