Senior Program Manager, Enterprise Technology and AI - GitLab

About the Role

As a Senior Program Manager within GitLab's Enterprise Technology organization, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technology programs that advance our enterprise IT strategy. You will serve as a trusted advisor to IT leadership, translating strategic objectives into structured roadmaps and measurable outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Program Ownership: Lead end-to-end management for large-scale Enterprise Technology & AI initiatives, including scope, roadmap development, and resource planning.
• Strategic Alignment: Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define success metrics, resolve dependencies, and drive decision-making.
• Governance: Recommend and implement improvements to program governance frameworks and intake processes across the CIO organization.
• Communication: Translate complex technical requirements into actionable work plans for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate interdependencies and risks across the portfolio.
• Culture: Model GitLab values and remote-first, async-collaboration best practices.

What You'll Bring

• 6+ years of program management experience delivering large, cross-functional technology programs.
• Demonstrated ability to simplify complex processes and navigate ambiguity.
• Strong influence without authority, with experience working across Finance, Legal, Sales, and Product teams.
• Proficiency in program management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe); PMP or CSM certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with Enterprise IT domains (business systems, data, AI, security, or infrastructure).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive-level reporting.
• Experience working in a globally distributed, async-first environment.
