The Opportunity

Grafana Cloud is our composable observability platform that integrates metrics, logs, traces, and profiles with Grafana. It allows our customers to leverage open-source observability software—including Prometheus, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Pyroscope—without the overhead of installing, maintaining, and scaling their own stack.

The Observability department is focused on enabling developers to understand the health and performance of their applications and infrastructure in any environment by providing tools to instrument code, ingest telemetry data into Grafana Cloud, and visualize/explore it.

About the Ingest Team

We build and maintain the configuration and deployment tooling that bridges the gap between wanting observability and having observability. The team owns Fleet Management, the Kubernetes Monitoring Helm Chart, and the Instrumentation Hub.

What You'll Be Doing

Manage and develop a remote team of backend and frontend engineers distributed across EMEA and NASA, providing regular feedback and supporting growth through career conversations.
Collaborate closely with go-to-market teams to ensure customers and prospects succeed in their Observability collection journey.
Work closely with product and engineering leadership to seamlessly fit Fleet Management, the Kubernetes Helm Chart, and the Instrumentation Hub into the end-to-end user experience for Grafana Cloud.
Provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle from early ideation through planning, execution, and post-launch.
Foster a psychologically safe environment where engineers can learn, experiment, and iterate quickly.
Contribute to projects outside your team's scope and partner across functions to solve customer problems.
Leverage modern AI coding assistants (GPT-6, Claude Opus, Gemini) as part of daily workflows backed by a company-funded usage budget.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Experience in Observability (especially OpenTelemetry) or building central control planes managing fleets of collectors.
Comfortable leading engineering teams with a strong sense of autonomy in technical and product decisions.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills while maintaining deep understanding of technical trends and engineering challenges.
Comfortable collaborating across time zones and cultures in a fully remote environment using clear, empathetic communication.
Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, align stakeholders, and elevate team performance.
Deeply customer-focused, grounding decisions and technical choices in real-world user needs.
Solid understanding of distributed systems principles (scalability, fault tolerance, consistency, and observability).
Comfort with AI-assisted tooling and agentic development workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary Range (Spain): EUR €94,000 - €117,000 (varies based on level, experience, and location within target hiring countries).
Equity: Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) included with all roles.
