The Opportunity

As a Senior Product Designer at Grafana Labs, you will join a growing Product Design organization of more than 25 designers, researchers, engineers, and design leaders distributed across six continents.

As Senior Product Designer for Grafana Cloud’s Knowledge Graph, you'll design experiences for the context layer of Grafana Cloud that powers our entity graph, entity catalog, and RCA workbench. Knowledge Graph automatically discovers services, infrastructure, and databases from existing telemetry, maps dependencies, and runs anomaly detection—giving engineers, SREs, and their agents an up-to-date picture of their systems.

Over time, you will develop deep expertise in your product area, user personas, and workflows to design tailored, role-driven experiences. You will also mentor other designers and help evolve team processes as Grafana scales.

What You’ll Be Doing

Enable customers to easily understand and explore how their systems connect to each other. Find clear, simple ways to show complex, constantly changing information.
Translate research and data into easy-to-digest experiences that break down complexity.
Tailor experiences to different target audiences, covering multiple user perspectives.
Work cross-functionally with peers and leaders in engineering, product management, technical writing, and GTM functions.
Prioritize for impact while balancing business goals, customer needs, and technical considerations.
Document user needs, pain points, design directions, UX trade-offs, and detailed feature specifications.
Execute and contribute to qualitative and quantitative research initiatives with researchers, customers, and community members.

What Makes You a Great Fit

7+ years of relevant design experience working on B2B/enterprise software products, ideally designing tools for developers or technical users.
A portfolio of effective designs for complex products delivered in a fast-paced environment.
Experience running qualitative research in complex domains and building deep empathy with users.
Ability to make design decisions that balance business goals, product priorities, customer feedback, research insights, and technical considerations.
Strong cross-functional collaboration across multiple locations and time zones.
High attention to detail and eagerness to learn a complex, highly technical product space.
Experience working in a fully remote, fast-paced environment with open communication and high autonomy.

Bonus Points

Experience designing complex, data-dense interfaces with a focus on clarity.
Ability to rapidly learn a technical domain and associated workflows.
Domain knowledge in observability, cloud infrastructure, or database monitoring.
Experience helping engineering-led design teams elevate their practice and organizational impact.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary Range (Germany): €88,240 - €105,888 EUR per year (varies by level, experience, and skillset).
Restricted Stock Units (RSUs): Offered with all roles to grant ownership in Grafana Labs' success.
