Grafana Labs is the company behind Grafana Cloud, the fully managed observability platform trusted by more than 10,000 organizations. We are a 100% remote company with team members across 40+ countries. This is a fully remote position for candidates based in the UK.
About Product Management
As a Product Manager at Grafana Labs, you'll develop a vision and strategy for your product domain. You will own the experience for your product as well as its roadmap and competitive positioning, and you will collaborate with company leadership on setting your product's goals. You will be the primary advocate and expert in your area, with a strong ability to communicate needs, functionality, and details effectively both to external customers and internal stakeholders.
Product Managers bridge R&D and GTM, facilitating information flow across teams and maintaining technical proficiency when representing products to customers.
The Role
As the Staff Product Manager for Enterprise Deployment Solutions, you'll own the Grafana Labs offerings that run outside standard multi-tenant SaaS, including Grafana Federal Cloud (for FedRAMP-authorized observability) and Grafana Cloud Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC).
Your mission is to make Grafana Labs the obvious choice for organizations with compliance, data, or cost-at-scale constraints. You will adapt existing Grafana Cloud capabilities to these environments, decide feature availability, build specific capabilities for BYOC and Federal Cloud, and shape upcoming deployment models.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Grafana Bring Your Own Cloud and Grafana Federal Cloud, balancing customer value against engineering cost and technical constraints.
- Own positioning, messaging, and differentiation for these offerings compared to multi-tenant Grafana Cloud, partnering with Product Marketing on launches, competitive analysis, enablement, and demand programs.
- Partner with Engineering and Technical Program Management on environment buildouts, balancing customer timelines with engineering capacity.
- Work directly with customers, prospects, and the field on strategic enterprise deals; brief partners, resellers, and analysts on deployment options.
- Partner with Security, Compliance, and Legal to address product changes affecting authorizations or customer commitments.
- Utilize AI tools daily to accelerate research, analyze product signals, and refine positioning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience on a technical B2B product, or a technical background (software engineering, solutions architecture, SRE, or TPM) combined with demonstrated product ownership.
- Hands-on experience with non-standard SaaS deployment models (e.g., self-managed, air-gapped, sovereign, BYOC, single-tenant, or FedRAMP/government cloud) and understanding of their operational and economic implications.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, platform software, or developer tools.
- Strong product and go-to-market judgment spanning definition, positioning, and commercialization.
- Interest in collaborating with US public sector customers and learning their procurement needs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority in a remote, globally distributed organization.
Bonus Points
- Experience selling to or building for US federal, state, or local government customers, or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with government/sovereign cloud frameworks (FedRAMP, StateRAMP/GovRAMP, BSI C5, SecNumCloud) or platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, AWS/GCP Sovereign Cloud).
- Experience with pricing and packaging across deployment models.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, or data-intensive infrastructure software.
- Experience working with resellers, systems integrators, or cloud marketplace partners.
- Familiarity with open-source software or commercial open-source business models.
