Senior Development Manager - Developer Acceleration

About The Role

The Dev Acceleration team’s mission at Jane is to experiment with ways AI can help developers build and ship better software, faster. Jane is founder-led and our mission is to help the helpers: the quicker our developers can build, the sooner the clinics who rely on Jane get what they need.

AI tools and ideas change constantly, so this team moves fast. We try things, keep what works, and happily drop what doesn't. You'll lead a small, experienced team who explore emerging approaches, then come back together to build. You won't have a triad to lean on, so you'll work closely with developers across Jane, get close to how they write code, and bring them along with clear and honest communication.

This is a high-visibility role where you'll help shape how the entire engineering organization works with AI and make that transformation land successfully.

What Impact You'll Make

• Lead and coach a small, senior team of engineers exploring new AI approaches and building internal tooling.
• Champion AI-assisted development across engineering, bringing teams along with clear and honest communication.
• Partner with developers across Jane to understand how they write code today, ensuring every experiment solves a real developer workflow problem.
• Shape how progress is measured, driving development speed without lowering the quality bar.
• Connect engineers across Jane who are already experimenting with AI so learnings are shared organization-wide.

What Experience We Need

• Strong background close to code, understanding active code-writing challenges and what developers on product teams face daily.
• Proven track record leading developer productivity or tooling transformations while maintaining or raising engineering quality.
• Exceptional communication skills with evangelist energy and hands-on experience driving organizational change.
• Strong collaborative mindset to facilitate deep enablement across product engineering teams.
• Pragmatic approach to measuring progress, defining success metrics, and executing iterative technical strategies.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary range: $190,400 CAD – $309,400 CAD
• Typical starting salary (Accomplished level): $226,100 CAD
