Deal Desk - Linear

About the Role

Linear is looking for a Deal Desk professional to design and evolve the systems and processes that power our sales-led deals. You will build the mechanics behind our quotes, order forms, pricing, discount approvals, and contract terms. We are looking for someone who can identify and resolve slow, manual, or leaky processes in a high-growth SaaS environment.

What You'll Do

• Workflow Ownership: Manage the quote-to-order-form workflow, ensuring accurate quotes and a clean path from verbal agreement to billing.
• Process Design: Build and maintain the deal approval and discount matrix to empower Account Executives.
• Deal Structuring: Serve as the primary point of contact for deal structuring questions.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance and Legal to maintain a clean, controlled order-to-cash process and prevent revenue leakage.
• AI Billing Support: Assist with usage-based and consumption-based deal structures as AI billing capabilities evolve.
• Automation: Identify manual tasks to automate and document essential processes.
• Compliance: Ensure deals are recorded correctly to maintain audit readiness.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of experience in deal desk, order management, revenue operations, or quote-to-cash, ideally at a high-growth SaaS company.
• Strong command of the full quote-to-cash cycle.
• Ability to build processes, workflows, and approval logic from scratch without a pre-existing playbook.
• Sound judgment regarding the balance between deal speed and operational control.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between Account Executives, Finance, and customers.
• Proficiency with CRM and quoting tools; experience with usage-based billing, multi-currency, or CPQ is a plus.
