About the Role

Notion is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the systems, data, and process architecture behind our billing, revenue recognition, and compliance frameworks. You will act as the bridge between Finance/Accounting and Engineering/Data teams, ensuring that new revenue streams are operable, auditable, and scalable.

This role reports to the Lead Technical Program Manager for Data, Biztech & AI Transformation. You will own the delivery of multi-quarter roadmaps for finance systems, including ERP, billing, subscription management, and procurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Launch Execution: Act as the technical counterpart for product and pricing launches, defining requirements for order capture, billing, tax, and revenue reporting.
  • Systems Ownership: Independently manage roadmaps for finance platforms (ERP, CPQ, revenue subledgers) and drive IT General Controls (ITGC) to ensure compliance is designed into systems from the start.
  • Process Optimization: Map end-to-end data lineage, resolve reconciliation gaps, and partner with Data Engineering to establish robust data contracts.
  • Audit & Compliance: Serve as the primary systems-side point of contact for internal and external audits, translating control requirements into engineering tasks.
  • AI Integration: Build and implement AI-assisted workflows to improve team efficiency, ensuring high standards for quality and human review gates.

Skills You'll Need

  • 5+ years in technical program management, business systems, or finance transformation.
  • Strong working fluency in finance operations (quote-to-cash, record-to-report).
  • Hands-on experience with ITGC, SOX compliance, and audit remediation.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale technical programs (ERP/billing migrations).
  • Ability to influence without authority and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.
  • AI-native mindset: experience using AI tools to synthesize status, triage intake, and manage documentation.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with NetSuite, Stripe, or similar enterprise billing/ERP systems.
  • IPO readiness or first-year SOX program experience.
  • CISA, CIA, or equivalent certifications.
