The Role

We're looking for experienced maintenance professionals to provide ongoing subject-matter expertise for a training program that prepares people for maintenance-operator roles in automated warehouses and facilities. You bring the real-world experience; you don't need a background in course design.

This is a remote, part-time contract role (~6–12 months, ~5–10 hrs/week). We are prioritizing UK-based candidates, though it is not a strict requirement.

What You Will Do

• Give feedback and input on course content — review what we're building and tell us where it's accurate and where it doesn't match how the work is really done.
• Lend real-world, on-the-floor expertise — what the job is actually like day to day, the knowledge that isn't in any textbook.
• Help our learners — once the program launches, be a knowledgeable, credible person they can turn to with questions as they build confidence in an unfamiliar field.

About You

• You have hands-on experience maintaining automated equipment across mechanical, electrical, and basic automation/controls in warehouses, fulfillment centers, or similar facilities.
• You ideally hold relevant industry credentials, such as SACA certifications, micro-credentials, or comparable technical qualifications.
• You understand the entry-level maintenance operator role and have experience working in the role, supervising/mentoring operators, or working alongside them as a technician.
• You can spot inaccuracies in practical workflows and explain the correct procedures clearly and specifically.
• You are comfortable working with beginners and can explain technical concepts patiently without making learners feel out of their depth.
• Teaching or training experience is a strong plus (e.g., trade schools, community colleges, or mentoring apprentices).
• You have availability for roughly 5–10 hours per week on a flexible contract basis.
