We're hiring a Senior Developer Advocate to be the face and voice of 1Password's developer story — especially our push into identity and access control for AI agents. You'll build hands-on demos and videos that show developers exactly how to use 1Password, carry that content into a genuine presence on Reddit and X, grow the community around it, and represent 1Password on stage at major developer conferences.

You'll report to the Director of Developer Relations as an individual contributor.

What You'll Do

• Build demos and videos: Hands-on, code-first demos and short-form videos showing developers how to use 1Password — particularly for securing AI agents, service accounts, and machine identities.
• Build a social presence: Own and grow 1Password's developer voice on Reddit, Youtube and X — daily posting, engaging in threads, answering questions, participating authentically in developer communities.
• Represent us at conferences: Speak at and represent 1Password at major developer conferences (AWS re:Invent, KubeCon, and others), turning in-person moments into demos, clips, and content that keep working after the talk ends.
• Shape open source strategy: Prioritize and guide what 1Password open sources — SDKs, integrations, MCP servers/tools — and how that drives developer trust and adoption.
• Create supporting content: Blog posts, tutorials, and reference code that give developers something to copy, fork, and ship.
• Build community: Turn one-off engagement into an ongoing developer community — repeat contributors, recurring conversations, people who show up because they trust the voice, not just the content.

What We're Looking For

• Technical fluency: 5+ years in technical roles (software/platform engineering, developer advocacy, solutions engineering, or similar). Comfortable writing real code for demos, not just narrating slides.
• Existing X, Youtube or Reddit presence as a technical voice, with a track record and an audience.
• Agent-building experience: Hands-on experience building AI agents and working with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
• Content production skills: Can conceive, script, build, and edit demo videos and short-form content.
• Community-building experience: Has grown a developer community from scratch or materially expanded one — not just posted into an existing audience.
• Open source judgment: Experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects.
• Public speaking: Experience speaking at major developer conferences (re:Invent, KubeCon, or similar).
• Communication: Strong written and verbal skills.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with security-conscious developer communities or products (identity, auth, DevSecOps).
• Contributions to or maintenance of MCP servers, agent frameworks, or related open source tooling.
