The Role

The Senior Solutions Engineer at Payabli drives post-sales integration projects for new vertical software partners and integration enhancements for existing partners. You will act as the Project Manager for new partner implementations, working alongside Account Management, Operations, and Engineering to ensure a smooth, error-free launch while becoming an expert across all Payabli products and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Integration Consultant & Product Expert

• Translate business requirements into unique technical solutions.
• Conduct calls to create and manage the integration plan for software partners.
• Design and present tailored integration project plans aligned with partner business expectations.
• Operate with an AI-first mindset to innovate integration processes.

Project Manager and Documentation

• Track and report on project logs, KPIs, and drive constant improvement.
• Collaborate with Account Managers on partner launch and Go-To-Market success.
• Transfer integration plans into ongoing production reference documentation for partners and internal support teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Connect Operations, Success, Risk, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure optimal technical solutions.
• Provide ongoing integration support alongside the Customer Success team.
• Pilot and implement cutting-edge fintech products with the product team.

What We Look For

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, Product Management, Technical Support, or similar roles within a payments or fintech company.
• Proven track record of creating and implementing complex technical solutions for software partners.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and modern integration patterns.
• Experience with payment processing concepts including tokenization, PCI compliance, and transaction flows.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or similar).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, cURL) and debugging techniques.
• Understanding of payment industry fundamentals (acquiring, issuing, card networks, ACH) and PCI DSS compliance.

Business & Leadership Experience

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas to C-suite enterprise clients and early-stage startup engineers alike.
• Resourceful self-starter able to independently run work streams.
• Leadership experience in a player/coach role or a natural ability to guide and influence others.
• Innate sense of humility, honesty, and intellectual curiosity.
