About PostHog
PostHog is the only platform that acts as a co-pilot for product development, allowing teams to analyze, diagnose, and roll out changes autonomously. We are product-led, default alive, and well-funded, with over 450,000 organizations using our tools.
The Role
We are building a new AI Research team to leverage our massive datasets—including events, errors, and session replays—to create self-driving product features. As an AI Research Engineer, you will have high autonomy to influence our product roadmap and ship production-ready AI solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Session Replay Analysis: Scaling issue detection using deep learning and DOM mutation data.
- User Behavior Prediction: Automating drop-off identification and conversion optimization.
- Synthetic User Testing: Developing simulations to catch bugs and confusing flows before release.
Requirements
- Strong background in math (PhD is a plus).
- Proven experience training models.
- Proficiency in PyTorch.
- Strong coding skills in Rust (preferred), CUDA, or C.
- Solid understanding of Transformers.
- A product-focused mindset; you are expected to build and ship, not just research.
Our Culture
- Transparency: We share our roadmap, strategy, and financials internally.
- Autonomy: Engineers lead product teams and make their own decisions.
- Shipping Fast: We prioritize async communication and heads-down building time.
- Being Weird: We value unconventional approaches and building unique tools.
Note: This is a hybrid-remote position based out of our London office.
