Product development used to mean manually writing code, running analysis, diagnosing bugs, and rolling out changes using dozens of tools. PostHog makes products self-driving as the only platform that acts like a co-pilot for you and your AI agents to do it all autonomously.

We started with open-source product analytics and have since shipped more than a dozen products, including:

• PostHog Desktop: The only AI devtool that understands your product, not just your codebase.
• A built-in data warehouse: So users can query product and customer data together using custom SQL insights.
• PostHog AI: An AI-powered analyst that answers product questions, finds useful session recordings, and writes custom SQL queries.

We are product-led, default alive, well-funded, and focused on shipping fast while being as weird as possible.

Things we care about

• Transparency: Everyone can read about our roadmap, strategy, and compensation in our public company handbook.
• Autonomy: We don’t tell anyone what to do. Everyone chooses what to work on next based on impact and personal interest. Engineers lead product teams and make product decisions.
• Shipping fast: We build in small teams of cracked engineers who own their products end-to-end.
• Time for building: We are a natively remote company defaulting to async communication. Tuesdays and Thursdays are meeting-free days.

What you'll be doing

• Owning products and features from beginning to end: Originate ideas, talk to users, test MVPs in production, iterate on feedback, and own pricing.
• Collaborating with design: Ship and own basic UX using our design system, collaborating with design for polish when necessary.
• Talking to users: Build relationships with users, bounce ideas off them, and iterate quickly.
• Doing support: Participate in the Support hero rotation to investigate and resolve issues reported by customers in real-time.
• Writing docs: Document the features you build.

Requirements

• You've built things agents actually use (e.g., an API an agent can drive, an MCP server, evals, docs written for a machine). Side projects count.
• Full-stack experience with relevant technologies (e.g., Python, React, and big data experience is a bonus).
• Experience taking a project from 0 to 1 (as a lead, former founder, or through impressive side projects).
• Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate ideas clearly.
