Medicare Advisor - PropelAuth

About Us

Propel builds technology that strengthens the social safety net in America. We envision a future where every American has the tools and resources they need to thrive. Over 5.5 million Americans trust Propel today, and we're reinventing entire benefit categories—including Medicare—around the real needs of low-income Americans.

About the Role

Propel is building the first-ever app-based brokerage focused on helping "duals" (Americans on Medicare and Medicaid) enroll in healthcare plans. We specialize in Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs) and are expanding to 30 states.

As a Medicare Advisor, you will be a trusted expert, helping users compare Medicare plans, enroll with confidence, and maximize their healthcare benefits. You will also collaborate with our engineering, product, and design team to refine how we support users in navigating government healthcare.

Note: This role is accepting applications from specific states where we have an established entity: California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

What You'll Do

  • Respond to incoming inquiries from users regarding D-SNPs, Traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans, and Medicaid via in-app chat (primary) and phone (secondary).
  • Use AI-powered tools (such as ChatGPT or Claude) to efficiently research plan details, compare coverage options, and synthesize complex regulatory information.
  • Conduct comprehensive comparisons of Medicare Advantage plans to ensure users understand their healthcare coverage options.
  • Educate users on eligibility requirements, enrollment processes, and Medicare compliance.
  • Execute enrollment applications accurately, providing users with critical information about deadlines and ongoing actions needed to sustain coverage.
  • Maintain appointments with multiple insurance carriers across 30+ states and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to improve app functionality and share insights from user interactions.
  • Flex outside of core D-SNP advisory as needed to support broader Medicare enrollment efforts and general app customer experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong active listening and consultation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
  • Active broker/agent health insurance license in your home state (or willingness to obtain one, plus non-resident state licensure sponsored by the company).
  • Willingness to complete training and testing required to be appointed by health insurance carriers.
  • Understanding of the difficulties faced by low-income Americans and a dedication to offering compassionate assistance.
