About Render
At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms.
About the Role
We are hiring the first members of Render's Scaled Programs Customer Engineering team. You will support high-growth accounts without dedicated technical coverage through programmatic, one-to-many engagement. This role balances running scaled programs (webinars, in-app engagement) with building the tools and content that power our broader Field Engineering organization.
What You'll Do
- Programmatic Engagement: Partner with Scaled Account Managers to turn expansion and churn signals into actionable plays and in-app prompts.
- Startup Onboarding: Manage startup program onboarding, including Intercom checklists and guided flows for high-growth AI startups.
- Content & Tooling: Build and improve our scaled-engagement toolkit, including pricing/sizing calculators, POC templates, and technical enablement content.
- Technical Advocacy: Translate recurring customer questions and technical best practices into timely in-product guidance.
- Data Hygiene: Maintain activity tracking and feature-request data to ensure reliable signals flow to Product and Field Engineering.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Customer Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Support, or DevRel).
- Comfort operating a high-volume, one-to-many motion rather than relying on 1:1 time.
- Strong fundamentals in cloud infrastructure: containers, deploys, autoscaling, networking, and CI/CD.
- Working knowledge of Postgres and common database migration patterns (Heroku, AWS RDS).
- AI fluency: You use AI tools daily and can advise customers building AI-native/LLM-powered applications.
- Strong written communication skills for producing docs, playbooks, and in-app content.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Intercom or similar in-app engagement platforms.
- Experience building internal or customer-facing tools that scale team impact.
- Prior experience with Heroku or other cloud migrations.
Benefits

- Continuous learning benefits and home office stipends.
