About the Role

As a product engineer on the Expansion team, you will design and build the cloud platform you've always wanted. You will take end-to-end ownership of full-stack projects, focusing on user-facing features and abstractions that make complex application deployments effortless.

What You'll Do

• Build new products: Develop tools that help larger teams and companies manage their apps as they scale.
• Collaborate: Work closely with design, product, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Evolve the codebase: Mature Render’s technology as the product scales in complexity.
• Strategy: Participate in team planning, roadmapping, and goal-setting.
• Culture: Help shape team practices as the company grows.
• Operations: Participate in on-call responsibilities with your team.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of professional experience shipping software (startup experience is a plus).
• Experience collaborating with product and design stakeholders.
• Ability to work across the stack, both collaboratively and independently.
• Strong understanding of web frameworks, APIs, and databases.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to make pragmatic decisions.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with modern build and deploy tooling.
• Experience building for product-driven growth and enterprise audiences.
• Experience with our tech stack: Go, Typescript, React, Kubernetes, Postgres, or Temporal.
