About us
Ruby Labs is a leading tech company that creates and operates innovative consumer products. We offer a diverse range of opportunities across the health, education, and entertainment industries. Our innovative teams are driving the future of consumer-led products, and we're always looking for passionate individuals to join us.
About the role
We are looking for a highly systematic, hands-on Lead Creative Producer to own and scale ad creative for one of our core D2C subscription products. You will lead a team of around 10 people (creative producers at junior, mid and senior level, plus a lead designer and motion designers). You will own the creative strategy, the quality of every ad that goes live, and the results those ads deliver. You will also create ad concepts yourself, alongside the team.
This is a high-impact role suited for someone who thinks in systems, not individual ads. You will analyse results in detail, give the team clear direction on what to produce and what not to, and support User Acquisition in growing the brand across every major ad network. You will hold every creative to a clear quality standard, keep every ad compliant so our ad accounts stay healthy, and build the systems that keep production fast. You will report directly to the CMO and the User Acquisition Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Strategy & Hands-On Concepting
- Own the creative strategy: define the angles, hooks, and formats to produce next
- Create ad concepts yourself, setting the standard the team works to
- Decide weekly what to scale, iterate on, and stop producing, based on the data
- Maintain a documented library of proven angles and run systematic competitor and market research
Performance Analysis & UA Partnership
- Own creative-level KPIs: hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CVR, CPA, and ROI
- Turn performance data into testable hypotheses and retire underperforming angles quickly
- Support User Acquisition with high-performing creatives across Meta, Google, Microsoft, Snapchat, TikTok, Applovin, and new networks
- Deliver structured creative performance reviews to the CMO and User Acquisition Lead
Quality Control & Ad Network Compliance
- Own quality control: no ad goes live without meeting a defined quality standard
- Ensure every creative complies with each network's ad policies, keeping ad accounts healthy with no rejected creatives
- Track policy changes and keep compliance guidelines and pre-launch checklists current
Team Leadership & Production Systems
- Lead and develop producers across levels, and direct the design team through its lead designer
- Implement processes and systems that speed up creative production: briefs, templates, workflows, and automation
- Set output, quality, and testing-velocity standards, and give specific, reference-backed feedback
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management for the ad creative unit
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience
- 6+ years in performance marketing, producing ad creative for D2C app or SaaS subscription products
- Proven track record of high-spend winning ads that held CPA and ROI targets as spend scaled
- Hands-on experience creating ad concepts and creatives yourself, not only managing others
- Experience directly leading and developing a cross-functional creative team, including producers and designers
- Hands-on knowledge of Meta, Google, Microsoft, Snapchat, TikTok, and Applovin, including ad policy compliance and keeping accounts healthy
- Ability to read creative-level data independently and build structured testing frameworks
- Experience implementing processes, systems, and AI-enabled workflows that measurably increased creative production speed
Leadership Attributes
- Systematic operator: you build repeatable processes, not one-time wins
- Fully accountable for performance outcomes, decisive with data, and comfortable killing concepts, including your own
- Holds a high quality bar: you do not let weak or non-compliant work go live
- Strong management instincts: sets clear direction, develops people, and holds them accountable
- Treats User Acquisition as a working partner and communicates clearly and directly in a remote environment
