The Opportunity

Our ambitious goal is to increase direct payer integrations by 100x over the next 12 months. This complex challenge involves massively parallelizing processes across many payers simultaneously, encompassing legal agreements, technical implementation and testing, relationship building, and a proactive "do-whatever-it-takes" approach to keep payers moving through the pipeline.

We are expanding our Payer Network team and seeking an individual to own and execute this process end-to-end. Your primary objective is to establish direct connectivity with as many of our 3,000+ payer connections as quickly as possible. You will collaborate directly with senior leaders on one of Stedi’s highest-priority projects, with opportunities to expand your scope as you deliver against the payer roadmap.

What You'll Do

• Research payers to identify integration opportunities, including their lines of business, supported clearinghouses and connectivity methods, and key contacts.
• Enrich and maintain payer data in our CRM to ensure accurate, complete records ready for outreach.
• Build and maintain a prioritized list of target payers based on established criteria.
• Conduct outreach to payers via email, phone, and LinkedIn to identify contacts and secure initial conversations.
• Hand off qualified payer opportunities to the integrations team with clear context and next steps.
• Contribute to building and improving Stedi’s payer development playbook, including research methods, outreach templates, and data standards.
• Identify and implement ways to automate and scale research and enrichment work.
• Build and foster relationships with key stakeholders at payers.

Who You Are

• Experienced in Healthcare: You have experience working with payers, clearinghouses, RCM businesses, or healthcare providers.
• Payer Understanding: You comprehend what drives payer decisions (e.g., administrative costs, provider network needs, compliance requirements) and leverage this knowledge to prioritize targets and frame outreach effectively.
• Pipeline Management: You have successfully managed a large pipeline or multiple engagements simultaneously, maintaining thoroughness and hyper-responsiveness. You are organized and adept at handling a high volume of research and outreach.
• Exceptional Client/Partner-Facing Experience: You have prior experience in roles requiring relationship management combined with project management, such as consulting, partnerships, business development, or growth/expansion at high-growth companies.
• Action-Oriented: You move quickly, respond with urgency, keep stakeholders updated, and proactively seek help or feedback.
• Technically Proficient: You quickly learn new tools, are comfortable with CRMs and spreadsheets, and seek automation opportunities. You think in data, identify patterns and gaps, and use insights to guide your focus.
• Research to Insight: You have experience with research and reporting, and have built AI-powered workflows or tools for analysis, transforming messy data into actionable insights.
• Documentation Focused: You write clear, thorough documentation, gather requirements effectively, ask the right questions upfront, and capture payer needs to ensure seamless handoffs.
• Detail-Oriented: No task is too small if it advances a payer relationship.
• Resourceful & Driven: You are resourceful, self-motivating, self-disciplined, proactive, and committed to getting the job done.
