Freelance Software Tester With Smart TVs - Testlio

Testlio is a global software testing company with a freelance network, connecting testers with apps from companies worldwide. We value the freedom and flexibility of remote work.

We are currently seeking freelance software testers based in Italy with various Smart TVs to assist with testing a streaming app during October and November.

To participate, you will create an account on our platform, through which testing tasks will be assigned. You will use our website for defect tracking and receive preparatory materials for testing.

Requirements

• Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Location: Must be physically located in Italy during October and November.
• Language: Comfortable navigating a streaming app in Italian. Native/Bilingual Italian preferred.
• Availability:
  • Approximately 30 minutes for Testlio account setup.
  • For testing tasks, anticipate 2 to 4 hours per run, with some potentially up to 12 hours. We offer flexibility and will discuss your availability for each run to find a suitable schedule.
• Devices: Smart TVs running Titan OS, specifically Philips TV, Vestel TV, or JVC TV. Please verify your TV's operating system, as only Titan OS is in scope.
• Experience: Software testing experience is a plus. New testers are welcome, and we provide free preparatory courses on our website to help you learn and grow.

What Testing Involves

• Type of Testing: Functional testing.
• Type of Work: Short-term, freelance.
• Example Tasks:
  • Install app builds on your TV device using provided instructions.
  • Execute test cases covering navigation, playback, login/account behavior, subtitles, audio, content discovery, localization, live events, and overall functional quality.
  • Report bugs with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, and recordings.
  • Provide feedback on issues identified during each run.
• Pay Rate: Starts at 15 USD/hr.
• Payment: Paid weekly via PayPal or Payoneer. The USD amount will be sent, which you can convert to EUR if preferred.
