Provider (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) - East Region

Bicycle Health is on a mission to solve the opioid accessibility crisis by bringing life-saving care to the 89% currently left behind through a single app combining Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) with behavioral healthcare, drug screening, therapy, and peer support.

We’re looking for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join us full-time in a 40-hour-per-week, W-2 role with a schedule designed to offer both structure and flexibility.

About the Role

The Provider position is a remote full-time addiction medicine clinical role with responsibility for the continuity of care of a panel of adult patients under care primarily for opioid use disorder. You will assess new patients presenting for telemedicine-based care, determine appropriateness of enrollment, and manage their continuity OUD treatment from initial induction through the duration of their care.

All states within the East Coast & Central Time Zones

Option 1: Monday–Friday (Late Start)

• 8-hour shifts
• Shift start time of 11:00 AM EST or 12:00 PM EST
• Schedule remains consistent each week

Option 2: Includes 1 Weekend Day (Early Start)

• 8-hour shifts
• Includes one weekend day
• Shifts start at 9:00 AM EST
• Schedule remains consistent each week

What You'll Do

• Provide assessment and treatment for a continuity panel of up to 275 adults with Opioid Use Disorder from initial treatment-start throughout ongoing care.
• Provide diagnosis of Opioid Use Disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Safely and effectively start treatment with buprenorphine-naloxone for OUD, managing the early induction and stabilization phase with close follow-up.
• Utilize motivational interviewing and rapport-building techniques to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with program physicians and therapists to coordinate additional services.
• Participate actively in regular clinical team meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement activities.
• Utilize our intuitive web-based EMR platform to manage patient care.
• Work from anywhere in your state (subject to regulatory changes).

What You'll Need

• Valid license to practice medicine & DEA license in your home state (must be eligible and willing to obtain licenses in multiple states).
• At least 1 year of Buprenorphine prescribing experience in a family medicine, internal medicine, addiction medicine, or psychiatric practice environment.
• Telehealth experience is a big plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective provider-patient relationships.
• Comfort with risk/benefit balancing and a passion for problem-solving.
• Motivational Interviewing experience preferred.
• Ability to share equally in the on-call needs of the region (typically on-call once every 2-3 months for one week at a time, including a percentage of the 8 company observed holidays).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification highly preferred.
