About the Role

Webflow is the agentic web marketing platform for modern marketing teams. We are looking for a Senior Staff Machine Learning Scientist to solve challenging problems, address emerging customer needs, and drive high-impact research in computer vision and multimodal AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Research Leadership: Drive ambitious initiatives in computer vision, multimodal understanding, and visual generation.
• Model Development: Develop novel algorithms for image/video understanding, visual search, scene representation, and multimodal reasoning.
• Production Impact: Translate cutting-edge research into practical, scalable model improvements.
• Technical Strategy: Set the direction for high-impact research areas and influence long-term AI strategy.
• Mentorship: Raise the quality bar for research and foster a strong scientific culture through mentorship.

Requirements

• Experience: 8+ years of relevant industry/research experience with a track record of driving major initiatives.
• Education: Advanced degree (PhD strongly preferred) in CS, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep expertise in computer vision, representation learning, and large-scale model training.
  • Proficiency with transformers, diffusion models, and contrastive learning.
  • Strong Python coding skills and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Communication: Ability to present complex research to both technical and cross-functional stakeholders.
