Your Role

Almost every company runs on Microsoft 365, and almost nobody has it fully under control. Work has to be moved into it and around it through mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations that touch millions of files. ShareGate is what IT professionals use to handle migration and governance. Taking something this complex and consequential and making it feel simple and trustworthy is what we're here to do.

Your impact:

• Own a whole product area end-to-end, from framing the problem with your team to shipping the solution customers use and monitoring for learnings.
• Design AI-first flows where the product does the real work for customers while keeping them in full control.
• Turn complicated situations into clear interfaces that busy professionals can understand at a glance and act on with confidence.
• Put bold bets in front of real customers early, measure outcomes, and adapt plans based on results.
• Incorporate AI into your design workflow to move from concepts to testable prototypes in days.
• Raise the team's design standards through critique, rigorous thinking, and clear rationale.

Your Team

You will join our design team at ShareGate, partnering directly with a product lead and engineering lead on every project from concept to launch. We are hiring across two sides of the product: migration into Microsoft 365 and security/governance once organizations are there.

What You'll Bring

• 6+ years designing complex software for businesses, with a track record of owning shipped work from start to finish.
• A systems mindset: designing complete user journeys rather than isolated screens.
• Strong judgment for critical design decisions involving high-stakes workflows.
• A regular cadence of talking directly to users and using customer behavior to guide decisions.
• Clear design rationale defensible to designers, engineers, and executive leadership.
• Fluency using AI tools within your design workflow.
• Ability to refine and polish designs directly in the product.
• Comfort navigating ambiguous problem spaces and operating without complete briefs.
• Bonus: Experience designing for IT, security, data, or technical audiences where errors carry high stakes.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $125,000 - $160,000 CAD (Canada-wide scale, adjusted to local market conditions)
