About Bestow

Bestow is a leading vertical technology platform serving some of the largest and most innovative life insurers. Our platform unifies the fragmented, legacy value chain, enabling carriers to launch products in weeks instead of years. Carriers choose us to scale and operate at unprecedented speed, powered by AI and automation.

We're building the infrastructure that helps an entire industry move faster, reach more people, and deliver on its promise. Backed by leading investors (Goldman Sachs, Hedosophia, NEA, Valar, 8VC) and trusted by major carriers, Bestow is powered by a team that moves with precision, purpose, and heart.

About the Team

The Bestow Product organization is responsible for defining, designing, and delivering exceptional digital experiences that solve real problems. Within the Product team, we have three functions – Product Management, Design, and Product Operations – all reporting into our CTO. Our Product Ops team is the force multiplier, enabling Product Managers and Designers to make the best decisions and do their best work.

This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Product Operations & Strategy, and is open for hybrid work in our Dallas office or fully remote across the US.

What You’ll Do

You will have two primary responsibilities:

  1. Lead ongoing improvements to the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) — Own the processes, rituals, and tooling Product Managers rely on every day to maximize team output and product quality. You will NOT be inheriting a playbook; you'll be writing one!
  2. Own the product roadmap — Architect and own the tooling systems, infrastructure, and governance that keep our roadmap complete, accurate, and visible to stakeholders using Jira, Jira Product Discovery (JPD), Confluence, and AI context layers.

Key Responsibilities

  • PDLC & PM Workflows: Partner with Product leadership to eliminate bottlenecks, evolve PDLC stages, build backlog standards, enforce PRD quality, and establish process templates and playbooks.
  • Technical Operations: Architect and maintain our product ops tech stack, engineering robust configurations in Jira/Confluence and implementing AI-powered tools/workflows for requirements drafting, backlog grooming, and customer insight synthesis.
  • Roadmap Governance: Establish governance standards for roadmap data (date confidence levels, field hygiene, update cadence) and build native and AI-generated dashboards for leadership visibility.
  • Team Engagement & Reporting: Facilitate product team-wide events, own PM onboarding, track process health metrics, and stay current on industry-leading Product Ops and AI tooling practices.

Who You Are

  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, startup environment where priorities shift and resourcefulness is essential.
  • Natural partner to Product Management leadership, measuring success by how much more effective you make the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in product operations, product management, or similar roles within high-growth tech companies
  • Extensive experience with collaboration tools: Must have: Jira/Confluence, Claude (or other leading AI system); Good to have: Jira Product Discovery, Cursor, Notion
