Accountant - Bluesight

With our continued customer and employee growth, we are looking to add an Accountant to our Accounting team to be the primary owner for tax and reporting compliance. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-changing environment and is a self-starter capable of managing multiple projects and initiatives. The Accountant will report to our Corporate Controller.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with state, local, and federal tax reporting and compliance across 43 states using Avalara and payroll processors.
• Handle all employee onboarding/offboarding and payroll reporting into NetSuite GL.
• Validate payroll and related tax compliance for reconciliation into NetSuite.
• Manage annual 1099 reporting for contractors.
• Assist with financial, tax, workers’ compensation, and 401(k) audits.
• Assist with preparation and review of daily entries and month-end reconciliations.
• Document accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Assist the Corporate Controller and Accounting Team with other ad-hoc projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least 3 years of general accounting experience, preferably within a SaaS company.
• Experience using NetSuite and Avalara in a professional setting, preferably within a SaaS company.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with multi-state tax compliance requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 per year (varies based on experience, performance, and location)
