Job Summary
The Product Quality Analyst I is responsible for testing web applications, Web APIs, and Batch applications. This role involves creating and executing manual and occasionally automated test cases, documenting defects, and collaborating with software engineers and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in quality assurance methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Create test cases to support business requirements of Web Applications, Web APIs, and Batch Applications of all complexity levels.
- Execute manual and automated test cases, documenting defects thoroughly.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, business analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Enter test cases and detailed test descriptions into the test case management system; document test results accurately.
- Monitor defect tracking systems and assist in managing bug resolution workflows.
- Apply quality assurance methodologies throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Think creatively to identify edge cases and propose solutions that drive client delight.
- Perform other QA and testing duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in manual or automated testing.
- Demonstrated ability to thoroughly test software and identify system defects.
- Knowledge of Gherkin test format.
- Highly motivated, innovative, and self-directed thinker with an eagerness to stay current with testing trends.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Computer Engineering.
- Helpful: Previous exposure to user interface development, billing/payroll modules, or import/export data files.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $45,000 – $75,000 per year (commensurate with education, experience, and skills).
- Incentives: Eligible to participate in the quarterly bonus incentive plan.
