The Role

We are looking for a brilliant B2B Social Media Marketing Manager to join our communications team. You will act as a bridge between our product creators and the global Ubuntu community, engaging with millions of developers, tech enthusiasts, and security engineers.

This role reports to the Director of Communications and requires a candidate who is passionate about technology, thrives on ownership, and enjoys experimenting with automation and data-driven growth.

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Content Creation: Schedule and publish content across multiple social media channels.
  • Analytics: Deliver regular reporting on social media metrics, content performance, and campaign results.
  • Growth: Support the growth and nurturing of Canonical’s social media audiences while increasing engagement rates.
  • Copywriting: Develop brand-aligned messaging that drives action.
  • Experimentation: Execute A/B and multivariate growth tests.
  • Community Management: Focus on platform moderation and direct audience engagement.
  • Campaign Support: Create awareness for product launches, webinars, and industry announcements.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience managing social media platforms for tech brands, content teams, or marketing agencies.
  • Hands-on knowledge of social media management and web analytics tools.
  • Proficiency with at least four platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or Reddit).
  • An analytical eye for content performance and educational content funnels.
  • Experience using video as a core marketing asset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
