Global Head of Cloud Alliances - Canonical

About the Role

Canonical is seeking a Global Head of Cloud Alliances to lead business development and strategic partnerships with global public cloud providers. As the publisher of Ubuntu, you will drive our cloud marketplace strategy, joint go-to-market motions, and executive-level relationships to scale our open source solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Revenue: Own the global cloud partner strategy, including forecasting, driving bookings, and accelerating revenue growth.
• Leadership: Guide cross-functional teams to ensure unified technology and market execution.
• Partnership Management: Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with key cloud partners.
• Execution: Steer offerings from concept to execution, aligning product management and marketing strategies with global sales.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cloud partners across engineering, product, and marketing to deliver solutions at scale.

Requirements

• Education: Exceptional academic track record with an undergraduate degree in a technical subject.
• Experience: Proven track record in alliance and indirect sales management; experience in the Public Cloud sector is highly preferred.
• Leadership: Exceptional leadership and presentation skills with the ability to energize stakeholders.
• Technical Acumen: In-depth understanding of open source technologies, Ubuntu, and the competitive cloud ecosystem.
• Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and a result-oriented mindset.
• Travel: Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events (up to two weeks per trip).
• Culture: Ability to thrive in a distributed, multi-cultural, and multi-national organization.
