About the Role

Canonical is seeking a Graduate HR Generalist to support our Americas (AMER) region. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of our HR function within a global, founder-led, and profitable technology company. You will work independently, take a hands-on approach, and interface with professionals at all levels to maintain high standards across our distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Support: Answer team member inquiries regarding employment, contracts, onboarding, and global benefits.
  • HRIS Management: Maintain high data accuracy and timeliness for team member changes and new joiners.
  • Project Ownership: Lead global initiatives such as engagement, training, and culture projects.
  • Strategic Partnership: Partner with managers and executives to drive people strategy and support HR processes.
  • Onboarding: Manage new hire documentation, system setup, and introductory reviews.
  • Benefits & Payroll: Support enrollment processes, ensure accurate monthly payroll data, and liaise with payroll providers.
  • Compliance: Conduct regular audits of employment files to ensure GDPR compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements to HR workflows.

What We Are Looking For

  • Exceptional academic achievement from high school and graduate studies.
  • Internship experience in an HR/People team (Technology industry preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize complex workloads and work effectively under pressure.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential data.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable to change.
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
