About the Role

Canonical is seeking a motivated Graduate HR Generalist to support our APAC region. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of our HR function within a global, distributed, and founder-led technology company. You will work independently, take a hands-on approach, and interface with professionals at all levels to maintain high standards across our teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Support: Act as the first point of contact for team members regarding employment, contracts, onboarding, and global benefits.
  • HRIS Management: Maintain accurate and timely HRIS data for team changes and new joiners.
  • Global Projects: Own initiatives related to engagement, training, and company culture.
  • Strategic Partnership: Partner with managers and executives to drive people strategy and support HR processes.
  • Onboarding & Payroll: Manage new hire documentation, system setups, and coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.
  • Compliance: Conduct regular audits of employment files to ensure accuracy and GDPR compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements to HR workflows.

What We Are Looking For

  • Exceptional academic achievement from high school and graduate studies.
  • Internship experience in an HR/People team (Technology industry preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize complex workloads and work effectively under pressure.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable to change.
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal team sprints.
