Graduate Talent Scientist - Canonical

About the Role

Canonical is looking for exceptional entry-level talent to join our Talent Science team. You will help ensure our hiring processes are objective, scientifically rigorous, and efficient. You will work closely with Hiring Leadership to leverage data and behavioral science to select world-class talent globally.

What You Will Do

• Learn to assess candidates using behavioral interview techniques.
• Gain a deep appreciation for the use of psychometrics in the workplace.
• Improve process and documentation efficiencies to fuel hiring practices.
• Contribute to projects requiring advanced analytics to draw insights from data.
• Build stakeholder relationships to design solutions for complex hiring problems.
• Support systems and platforms, acting as a point of contact for hiring-related questions.

What We Are Looking For

• Academic Excellence: Exceptional track record from high school and university; undergraduate degree in Psychology or a people-based subject.
• Analytical Skills: Advanced ability to dissect and analyze data using SQL; Python and/or advanced statistical analysis skills are highly advantageous.
• Experience: Exposure to talent selection through university coursework, internships, or a first job.
• Communication: Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
• Mindset: Results-driven, ambitious, and curious with a passion for technology and automation.
• Logistics: Ability to travel internationally 2-4 times a year for company events.
