About the Role

Canonical is seeking passionate Product Managers to join our distributed team. As a Product Manager at Canonical, you will set a clear vision, prioritize work effectively, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet business and user needs. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle from conception to delivery, blending technical expertise, strategic thinking, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the product development lifecycle, reviewing priorities and goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales.
  • Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
  • Communicate product vision, status updates, and key decisions to stakeholders.
  • Conduct usability testing and iterate on products to improve user experience.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and support sales teams in winning new opportunities.
  • Facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts across departments.

What We Are Looking For

  • Exceptional academic results at high school and university level.
  • Strong understanding of Linux and the open source software community.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, application development, datacenters, or cloud technologies.
  • Passion for writing about technology and the tech landscape.
  • Strong work ethic, sense of ownership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining focus on key priorities.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 4 times a year for company events.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with specific verticals (Telco, Finance, Automotive, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Snaps).
  • Knowledge of networking technologies (IPv4/v6, routing, VPNs, etc.).
  • Experience leading distributed teams across different time zones.
