
About the Role
Canonical is seeking passionate Product Managers to join our distributed team. As a Product Manager at Canonical, you will set a clear vision, prioritize work effectively, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet business and user needs. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle from conception to delivery, blending technical expertise, strategic thinking, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the product development lifecycle, reviewing priorities and goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales.
- Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
- Communicate product vision, status updates, and key decisions to stakeholders.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate on products to improve user experience.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and support sales teams in winning new opportunities.
- Facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts across departments.
What We Are Looking For
- Exceptional academic results at high school and university level.
- Strong understanding of Linux and the open source software community.
- Knowledge of computer architecture, application development, datacenters, or cloud technologies.
- Passion for writing about technology and the tech landscape.
- Strong work ethic, sense of ownership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining focus on key priorities.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 4 times a year for company events.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with specific verticals (Telco, Finance, Automotive, etc.).
- Experience with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Snaps).
- Knowledge of networking technologies (IPv4/v6, routing, VPNs, etc.).
- Experience leading distributed teams across different time zones.
