Regional HR Manager - AMER

About the Role

Canonical is seeking a Regional HR Manager to lead our People function across the Americas. Reporting to the Global Head of HR, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our organization, ensuring compliant HR operations, and partnering with senior leadership to drive high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead and scale the regional HR team, ensuring precise and compliant operations.
• Strategic Partnership: Partner with senior managers on organizational design, workforce planning, and performance management.
• Employee Lifecycle: Oversee talent development, succession planning, onboarding, and culture initiatives.
• Employee Relations: Act as the primary advisor for complex ER issues across multiple jurisdictions.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with the global People team to create scalable, tight-knit processes.
• DEI & Policy: Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and design global HR policies.
• Representation: Present at Canonical events to articulate our HR practices.

What We Are Looking For

• Exceptional academic track record (high school and university).
• Proven HR experience leading regional initiatives within a technology company.
• Strong people management and senior stakeholder partnering experience.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to balance leadership with daily HR routines.
• Experience in remote-first organizations and managing complex ER matters across multiple countries.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret trends.
• Fluent in business English; willingness to travel up to 4 times per year.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with immigration and mobility processes.
• Professional HR qualification (e.g., SHRM).
• Strong facilitation skills.
