About the Role

Canonical is seeking a Talent Acquisition Strategist to join our Talent Science team. We are not traditional recruiters; our mission is to apply objective, scientifically rigorous, and data-driven processes to select world-class talent. You will work closely with the Global Head of Talent Science to drive delivery excellence, manage project roadmaps, and influence hiring strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead and deliver the Talent Science project roadmap using exceptional project management and influencing skills.
  • Process Design: Design and implement solutions to complex hiring problems, ensuring all initiatives map to high-performance outcomes.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytical expertise to dissect data and drive hiring efficiencies.
  • Mentorship: Coach and develop team members, specifically focusing on analytical capabilities and thought leadership.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a credible advisor to company leadership, communicating our vision for talent acquisition.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Exceptional academic track record with an undergraduate degree in psychology or a people-based subject.
  • Experience: Proven track record of team leadership in a talent function within the technology or consulting industry.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced analytical ability (SQL, Python, or statistical analysis) and a technological mindset for automation.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English with strong presentation skills for senior audiences.
  • Travel: Ability to travel internationally 2-4 times a year for company events.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Expertise in advanced psychometric assessments and vendor management.
  • Deep understanding of human behavior and intrinsic motivation.
  • Experience with Superset and advanced dashboarding.
