The best developers don't wait for a customer to tell them something's broken. They catch it first—in the pull request, in staging, or in the checkout flow at 3am, before a single user notices.
That instinct is Checkly's whole reason to exist. We give developers and their agents the tools to own reliability the way they own their code: end-to-end tests and synthetic monitoring defined as code, powered by OpenTelemetry and Playwright, versioned and reviewed like everything else they ship.
Thousands of companies—from modern AI startups like Mistral and resolve.ai to large engineering orgs like LinkedIn, Citi, and 1Password—build with Checkly. In 2024, we raised $20M in Series B funding from Balderton, CRV, and Accel.
About the Role
This role starts where the sale ends. As a Post-Sales Solutions Engineer, you will onboard new customers, train their engineering teams, and stay close to those accounts as their use of Checkly grows. You are the primary technical counterpart in the account and will run your own customer meetings.
What You'll Do
- Technical Onboarding: Learn Checkly deeply and own technical onboarding for new accounts—implementation, configuration, and getting initial monitoring into production.
- Customer Workshops: Run workshops and trainings for customer engineering teams to ensure adoption and value.
- Account Growth & Support: Act as the technical counterpart for existing accounts, supporting adoption, troubleshooting, and growth alongside the sales team.
- Customer Meetings: Lead technical deep dives, check-ins, and execution strategy directly with client engineering teams.
- Enablement & Documentation: Contribute to technical documentation and internal playbooks as you discover best practices.
- Product Feedback: Gather customer insights directly and share learnings with Product Engineering and Marketing teams.
What You Should Have
- Experience: ~2 years of experience in a post-sales technical role (e.g., Solutions Engineering, Customer Success Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Professional Services).
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with monitoring, observability, or automated testing. Strong ability to read, write, and debug code (JavaScript / Node.js preferred).
- Leveraging AI: Ability to use AI tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) to accelerate customer-facing work: researching stacks, generating example code, building POC repos, and drafting technical responses.
- Customer Focus: Genuine passion for customer interaction, leading demos/workshops, driving meetings, and communicating complex technical concepts clearly.
- Location & Travel: Based on the US East Coast (Eastern Time Zone). Willingness to travel occasionally to meet customers in person.
- Language & Soft Skills: Fluent spoken and written English, self-motivated, and comfortable working autonomously in an asynchronous environment.
