About the Role

Elastic is seeking a Principal Competitive Intelligence Manager to join its Product Marketing organization. This pivotal role focuses on the Search market, analyzing the competitive landscape to drive actionable insights and enhance go-to-market strategies. You will collaborate across teams to position Elastic's offerings effectively against competitors in a dynamic market.

What You Will Be Doing

• Program Strategy: Build and implement a comprehensive competitive intelligence program for Search, covering products, pricing, packaging, and marketing strategies.
• Enablement: Create fact-based internal and external materials, including battlecards, training modules, and competitive comparisons.
• Market Analysis: Track and communicate competitive developments, providing timely responses to market shifts.
• Content Creation: Develop proof points, blogs, and web pages to communicate Elastic's technical differentiation.
• Win/Loss Analysis: Collaborate on the Win/Loss program to advise sales strategies and product roadmaps.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product management and sales to craft competitive positioning for new features.

• Proven experience in sales engineering, technical marketing, or competitive analysis.
• Strong analytical skills to assess competitive solutions and translate technical features into business value.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders from technical experts to senior executives.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and think critically.
• Background in engineering or computer science is a plus.
