Senior Engineering Manager, Grafana Frontend

Grafana Labs is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Frontend Platform and Navigation squads. You will own their performance, delivery, and customer outcomes, developing senior engineers and partnering with Product and Design.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Be accountable for the performance of two distributed engineering squads: set clear expectations, delegate effectively, coach and develop team members, and build a culture of trust and accountability.
• Own hiring, team planning, and roadmaps, aligning team capacity and skills with product priorities.
• Lead discovery with customers, community members, and internal users to shape roadmaps.
• Partner with Product, Design, and engineering leaders to set priorities, resolve dependencies, and make trade-offs.
• Own delivery across both squads from discovery through rollout and measurement.
• Lead the adoption of AI and automation across engineering and operational workflows.
• Set engineering direction with senior engineers for frontend foundations, developer experience, accessibility, architecture, tooling, and navigation.
• Participate in the engineering management on-call rota and drive improvements to reduce disruption.

• Experience leading a developer platform team, including support for plugins or extensions.
• Experience with navigation, search, information architecture, or resource-management products.
• Experience delivering multitenant SaaS or major platform migrations.
• Experience working on a widely adopted open-source product.
