The Opportunity

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer on the Grafana Catalog team, you will help grow the Grafana plugin ecosystem. Plugins are how Grafana connects to almost any data source, panel type, or app, and the catalog features more than 300 of them.

We own the full plugin lifecycle—from developer tooling and publishing to the catalog, to discovery, installation, updates, and the upcoming Grafana Marketplace.

What You’ll Be Doing

• The Grafana Marketplace: Build paid plugins, publisher onboarding, and purchase flows.
• Plugin Catalog: Enhance discovery, search, and comparison on grafana.com and inside Grafana.
• Installation & Delivery: Manage plugin delivery, signing, validation, and CDN distribution to Grafana Cloud instances.
• Developer Tooling: Improve the developer portal and tools to help developers build, test, and publish plugins.
• Operations & Reliability: Support the reliability of plugin installs and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Solid experience with Golang & TypeScript
• Experience with React and building user-facing web applications
• Experience with Kubernetes & microservices
• Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software
• Experience participating in an on-call rotation and performing operations/SRE tasks

Bonus Points For

• Having built or published a Grafana plugin
• Experience working on a marketplace, app store, package registry, or billing/licensing systems
• Building developer tooling such as CLIs, SDKs, or CI pipelines
• Strong experience working with Product Managers or external stakeholders

Compensation & Benefits

• Canadian Salary Range: CAD $170,247 - $204,297 OTE/Base compensation (actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset).
• Equity: Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) included for all team members.
• Global Leave: 30 days of annual leave per annum, including 3 dedicated Grafana Shutdown Days.
