About the Role
Jane is looking for a Senior Manager of Vertical Markets Strategy & Insights to partner with our Market Owner team. Each Market Owner acts as a General Manager for a specific customer segment, deeply knowing the customer experience and internally advocating across Jane's functions.
You will partner with Market Owners individually and collectively on performance tracking, forecasting, exploring key market opportunities and growth hypotheses, and driving data-driven decisions. This is a highly collaborative, evolving role blending strategic thinking, analytics, and operational excellence.
What Impact Weβre Looking for You to Make
- Take on Market Owners' most pressing priorities: Serve as a trusted thought partner on high-stakes, ambiguous questions, working alongside leadership to surface key insights and land growth strategies that improve retention, expand customer relationships, and support sustainable revenue growth.
- Own the full arc of analysis: Structure problems, build analyses, craft narratives, present to executive audiences, and follow up to ensure recommendations are implemented.
- Turn complex data into insights: Guide planning, highlight risks early, and inform confident leadership decisions using operational and customer data.
- Build planning rhythms: Establish goals and success metrics that help cross-functional teams stay focused, accountable, and aligned.
- Build cross-functional relationships: Partner effectively with Marketing, Support, Vertical Market General Managers, and beyond to execute initiatives successfully.
- Raise the analytical bar: Build repeatable frameworks and self-serve tools that make recurring work faster and more rigorous over time.
What Experience We Need
- Consulting or comparable background: 2-3 years in top-tier management consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) with a track record of driving operational improvements and owning strategic initiatives. Tech BizOps, corporate strategy, or comparable analytical backgrounds will also be considered.
- Strong quantitative skills: Proficiency with complex financial models, comfort working with large and imperfect datasets, and the ability to produce defensible answers. SQL experience or a willingness to learn is a plus.
- Structured problem solving: A hypothesis-led, answer-first approach to breaking down ambiguous, poorly-defined problems.
- Slide-building and storytelling: The ability to construct clear narratives, build supporting decks, and present to executive stakeholders.
- Comfort with ambiguity: Able to make progress without a fully-scoped brief and prioritize effectively under time constraints.
- Domain interest: Experience in or exposure to B2B SaaS is a plus; familiarity with the allied health landscape is a bonus.
