Product Operations Manager - Notion

Who We Are

Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.

Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era.

About the Role

As a Product Operations Manager, you’ll work closely with Product and Engineering teams to drive launch operations and quality, ensuring teams can operate effectively as Notion scales. You’ll serve as the core liaison between Product and the go-to-market organization, helping ensure new products and features are successful.

This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) to collaborate in person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with product teams to help drive product strategy by synthesizing customer and internal signals into clear insights, framing bets/tradeoffs, and driving alignment on priorities.
  • Build agentic workflows, tooling, and processes that drive engineering velocity and a higher bar for launch quality.
  • Coordinate end-to-end launches of new features across teams, from early access programs with external customers to setting clear exit criteria for GA launches.
  • Build evergreen feedback loops and triage/evaluation systems that allow teams to build with confidence and prioritize the right bets.
  • Build strong relationships and drive clarity with key partner teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working in product operations, technical program management, project management, or a product ownership role.
  • Regular experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude Skills, Cowork, Codex) to support your work.
  • Ability to identify tradeoffs between building scalable vs. non-scalable systems to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences (Research, Data Science, Product, Security, Legal, Support, Customer Success).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to act with high agency at multiple altitudes.
  • Ability to make informed decisions under uncertainty and know when to collect more data.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities and challenges change quickly.

Nice to Haves

  • Strong knowledge of basic scripting, APIs, MySQL, MCPs, and similar open-source technologies.
  • Knowledge of and experience using Python, Go, C++, or Java, alongside comfort using GitHub, CLI, etc.
  • Background in product management or engineering.

Compensation & Workplace

For candidates based in San Francisco and New York, the estimated base salary range is $160,000 - $200,000 per year, plus competitive equity and benefits.

A Note on AI

Every Notino is expected to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. People who thrive here use AI to think better and make their work easier for others to build on.
