Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for your area, from problem definition through delivery and iteration
  • Lead discovery with Payroll, Operations, and partner teams, ensuring we solve manual bottlenecks, avoid calculation errors, and create trust with our customers
  • Partner with engineering and design as a true triad, facilitating problem discovery and solution design as a team
  • Improve how payroll calculation issues, reporting gaps, and partner connectivity problems are surfaced and resolved, reducing escalations and rework for Ops and Payroll teams
  • Own the payroll calculation and reporting layer; ensure outputs are accurate, clear, and understandable
  • Build and maintain our country-specific payroll and compliance knowledge base, keeping it accurate as rules change
  • Maintain robust partner connectivity across payroll partners, ensuring data flows correctly and integrations don’t break downstream reporting

Requirements

  • 4+ years in product management, with experience owning complex B2B SaaS or HR-tech/fintech products (payroll, compliance, integrations, or financial operations)
  • Strong product fundamentals: you manage your product, not your backlog
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills: you cross bridges without burning them
  • Clear and concise communication with the ability to write simple, articulate PRDs
  • Experience working on platform-level products with real system complexity (data models, integrations, cross-service dependencies) and reasoning about trade-offs across product, operations, and engineering
  • Strong operational instinct: you understand how payroll accuracy, reporting reliability, and partner connectivity connect to customer trust
  • Proven ability to define success metrics before scoping and revisit them when metrics are not moving
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, cross-functional environments by driving clarity
  • Experience working in high-trust, autonomous team structures needing context, customer access, and business goals rather than feature lists
  • Ability to leverage AI as a force multiplier without outsourcing your judgment
  • Hands-on experience with payroll partner integrations or global compliance data is advantageous
