At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms.

We are building out an Object Storage team to develop and maintain a new product for our millions of users. As this is an early-stage product, we are looking for engineers who have built storage platforms before and can evolve the product as customer needs grow.

What You'll Do

• Operate and maintain the object storage fleet.
• Collaborate closely with design, product, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Evolve and mature the Render storage product as it scales in complexity.
• Participate in team planning, roadmapping, and goal-setting.
• Shape team culture and engineering practices.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of professional experience shipping software (startup experience is a plus).
• Experience collaborating with product and design stakeholders.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to make pragmatic decisions.
• Comfort working in a distributed system.
• Experience operating a storage product at scale.
• Familiarity with modern software build and deploy processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working across the stack.
• Strong understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple programming languages.
• Familiarity with product-driven growth and enterprise audiences.
• Experience with our tech stack: Go, Typescript, React, Kubernetes, Postgres, Terraform, Temporal.
