About the Role

Our Postgres team operates and maintains our Postgres product for millions of users. As a product engineer, you will take end-to-end ownership of full-stack projects, focusing on user experience and the evolution of our Postgres platform.

What You'll Do

• Operate and maintain the Render Postgres fleet.
• Collaborate closely with design, product, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Evolve and mature the Render Postgres product as it scales.
• Participate in team planning, roadmapping, and goal-setting.
• Shape team culture and practices as the company scales.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of professional experience shipping software.
• Experience operating Postgres at scale.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to make pragmatic decisions.
• Comfort working in a distributed system.
• Experience collaborating with product and design stakeholders.
• Familiarity with modern tooling for software build and deploy processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working across the stack (Go, Typescript, React, Kubernetes, Terraform, Temporal).
• Experience building for product-driven growth and enterprise audiences.
