About the Role

Render's Key/Value team operates and maintains our KV product for millions of users. As a product engineer, you will take complete, end-to-end ownership of full-stack projects. We are looking for someone with experience building Key/Value platforms to help us evolve and mature our infrastructure as it scales.

What You'll Do

• Operate and maintain the Render KV fleet.
• Collaborate closely with design, product, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Evolve and mature the Render KV product as it scales in complexity.
• Participate in team planning, roadmapping, and goal-setting.
• Shape team culture and practices as the company scales.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of professional experience shipping software.
• Experience collaborating with product and design stakeholders.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to make pragmatic decisions.
• Comfort working in a distributed system.
• Experience operating a KV datastore at scale.
• Familiarity with modern tooling for software build and deploy processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working across the stack.
• Strong understanding of web frameworks, APIs, and databases.
• Experience with: Go, Typescript, React, Kubernetes, Postgres, Terraform, or Temporal.
