About Steer
Steer offers a suite of software tools for today's automotive repair shop. We combine a mix of software tools that a repair shop needs to run a highly profitable shop into one user-friendly, cost-effective platform. Through the Steer suite, shop owners can focus on what matters most and stop worrying about marketing and customer retention.
Steer began as an online directory for drivers to find local mechanics. Today, Steer provides a complete Customer Relationship Management (CRM) marketing suite featuring text messaging, email automation, direct mail integration, reputation management, appointment reminders, declined/recommended service tracking, and more. In August 2024, Steer acquired AutoOps—the leader in modern, intelligent, and fully integrated scheduling software for auto repair shops.
About the Role
As Head of Revenue Operations, you will build, optimize, and scale the operational, data, and technology foundation across our entire go-to-market (GTM) organization—including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Partnerships. We have doubled in revenue year-over-year since 2023, and with our recent acquisition of Call Inbound, we are entering our next phase of rapid scale. Reporting directly to executive leadership, your mission is to transform our systems, billing infrastructure, reporting, and GTM strategy into a unified, high-performing growth engine.
You will lead a small but high-impact RevOps team (2 direct reports) while personally owning the architecture and execution of our RevTech stack (including HubSpot and Chargebee), lead management, funnel optimization, enablement and ramp, and AI deployment.
This role is 100% remote and available to US-based candidates.
Immediate Priorities
- Redesign the Sales-to-Onboarding Handoff: Overhaul the end-to-end handoff process and data carryover from closed-won sale to customer onboarding, eliminating friction and context loss.
- Modernize Customer Success with AI: Leverage AI to enhance customer health scores and predictive signals, empowering CSMs to proactively engage with the right shops at the right time.
- Rebuild the Forecasting Process: Redesign forecasting from the ground up to establish repeatable, data-driven revenue predictability across teams and newly acquired business lines.
What You Bring
- Operational Builder & AI-Forward Architect: Highly organized and system-minded, thriving on turning complex, disconnected processes into simple, scalable workflows.
- Strategic Systems Thinker: Ability to connect executive priorities to billing infrastructure, tech stack rationalization, M&A integration, and GTM strategy.
- Hands-On Problem Solver: Comfortable presenting to leadership as well as personally building automations, forecasting models, and CRM workflows.
- Growth & Ramp Driver: Experienced in measuring and reducing new-hire time-to-productivity through modern systems and clear signals.
- Collaborative Leader: Proven track record of managing, mentoring, and elevating RevOps professionals while bridging technical systems with business leadership.
What You Will Do
- Own Revenue Systems, Billing Infrastructure & AI Innovation: Lead architecture and management of core revenue systems (HubSpot, Chargebee, and broader RevTech). Build advanced automation workflows across Marketing, Sales, CS, Finance, and Partnerships, and deploy AI tools to streamline operations.
- Redesign Critical Lifecycle Handoffs & Processes: Architect seamless transitions and data transfers from Sales to Onboarding. Redesign company forecasting models to deliver reliable, executive-ready pipeline and revenue visibility.
- Power Customer Health & CSM Action via AI: Build systems and AI-driven intelligence models that calculate customer health scores and route CSMs to high-priority accounts.
- Drive Enablement, Ramp & Team Productivity: Own new-hire ramp metrics with a clear path to reduction. Design onboarding, coaching, and exception-based reporting workflows. Partner with Sales leadership on structural comp design and team placement.
- Optimize Funnel Performance & Revenue Intelligence: Diagnose pipeline leaks and conversion bottlenecks across all channels. Build executive dashboards, predictive analytics, and automated reporting.
- Lead Data Strategy & Governance: Define data capture, structuring, and management across the customer lifecycle to ensure CRM hygiene, billing accuracy, and cross-system interoperability.
- Manage & Develop the RevOps Team: Lead, hire, and mentor 2 direct reports, fostering a culture of innovation, systems thinking, and technical excellence.
- Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, CS, Finance, Product, and Executive Leadership to support PLG motions, upgrade paths, and monetization strategies.
Requirements
- RevOps Leadership Experience: 5–8+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, GTM Systems, or Revenue Enablement, with proven experience leading teams or major strategic initiatives in high-growth environments.
- Systems & Tech Stack Mastery: Deep expertise configuring and managing HubSpot or Salesforce, alongside strong experience in billing/subscription platforms (Chargebee or similar).
- Forecasting & Process Architecture: Track record redesigning sales forecasting models and cross-functional customer handoffs.
- AI & Automation Implementation: Hands-on experience implementing automation tools and proactive deployment of AI solutions for operational efficiency.
- Enablement & Ramp Ownership: Experience owning, measuring, or influencing new-hire ramp time and onboarding outcomes.
- Data & Analytics Proficiency: Strong analytical background querying raw data, building forecasting models, and designing board-level/executive dashboards (SQL, BI tools, or advanced analytics platforms).
- Stack Rationalization Skills: Proven track record evaluating, consolidating, or replacing GTM software platforms.
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating RevTech stacks, customer databases, or billing infrastructure post-acquisition.
