About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Sourcer to help identify and engage exceptional talent as Tailscale continues to scale. This is initially a 6-month contract position with the potential to extend or convert to a full-time role.

You’ll operate as a fully integrated member of our Talent Acquisition team, partnering with hiring teams to build high-quality pipelines across Engineering, Product, Design, GTM, and G&A.

Key Responsibilities

• Build & Execute Sourcing Strategies: Develop targeted strategies across multiple functions and manage multiple searches based on pipeline performance.
• Source Technical & Specialized Talent: Translate technical requirements into effective searches; research relevant companies, technologies, and communities.
• Use Data & Market Intelligence: Conduct market mapping and surface actionable insights on candidate availability and trends.
• Build Inclusive Talent Pipelines: Incorporate inclusive practices to identify talent across a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.
• Engage Exceptional Talent: Create personalized outreach and build authentic relationships with passive candidates.
• Partner Across Talent Acquisition: Collaborate on search strategy, candidate calibration, and the improvement of sourcing tools and workflows.

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of talent sourcing/recruiting experience in high-growth tech environments.
• Ability to quickly understand complex roles and translate requirements into effective sourcing strategies.
• Strong research skills using techniques beyond basic keyword or platform searches.
• Proficiency in passive candidate engagement and communication.
• Analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple searches and use data to evaluate effectiveness.
• Collaborative working style with experience using ATS technology and an interest in AI/automation.

Nice to Have

• Experience sourcing for developer tools, infrastructure, networking, security, or cloud environments.
• Experience identifying talent through GitHub, open-source communities, or other non-traditional channels.
• Experience supporting leadership or confidential searches.
