About TestGorilla
At TestGorilla, we're on a mission to place 1 billion people in their dream jobs. To democratize opportunity, we're building the world's leading skills-based talent discovery platform - one that replaces reliance on resumes with scientific validation of what people can truly do.
Founded as a 100% remote company in 2020, our global team is united by high standards, a lot of heart, and a relentless drive to conquer new technological frontiers. We're all AI-fluent builders who care deeply about replacing bias with fairness.
About the Role
As our Senior People & Talent Operations Partner, you'll own People Ops as a product: the systems, compliance, and self-serve workflows that let most of People & Culture run itself day to day, plus the tooling behind how we hire. You'll join a lean, two-person team, working directly with the Head of People & Culture, with proper and lasting ownership from day one.
Payroll, compliance, and HR systems across every country we operate in are foundational elements of this role. Just as critically, you'll build and own the AI/automation and self-serve layer that keeps our People function lean, bringing a product mindset to everything you touch.
Responsibilities
- Upholding TestGorilla's behaviors and fostering an inclusive, supportive culture.
- Designing, building and maintaining a smart, automated and AI-enabled people journey - from pre-boarding to off-boarding.
- Being the technical owner and orchestrator of our HR tech stack: evaluating, enhancing, and ensuring tools are unified and integrated.
- Owning the non-Finance side of payroll, invoicing, contract administration, and compliance end to end across operating countries.
- Owning data privacy, recordkeeping, and day-to-day relationships with our EOR vendor.
- Owning configuration and troubleshooting of our hiring tooling for independent hiring manager use.
- Owning documentation that makes self-serve work in practice for both humans and P&C AI agents.
- Working with leadership to maintain a clean line between self-serve and high-touch needs.
What You'll Bring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven experience building and owning sophisticated automations (Zapier, n8n, Make.com) as a core part of an integrated HR tech stack.
- Experience managing payroll, compliance, or HR operations across multiple countries via EOR or direct entities.
- Deep, hands-on HRIS experience (HiBob experience is a big plus).
- A product mindset: building for employees and managers, listening to feedback, and iterating.
- Ability to thrive in a high-autonomy, async-first, remote-only environment.
- Operational rigor combined with genuine empathy and stakeholder management skills.
