At TheyDo, we’re on a mission to make the customer journey the most powerful business tool there is. We help global enterprises like Pfizer, Ford, and Johnson & Johnson turn journey chaos into clarity with our leading journey management platform.
As we scale, our finance operations need the same level of clarity. We’re looking for a Management Accountant to cover maternity leave from January 2027 to August 2027. You’ll keep our finance operations running and the numbers right while our Management Accountant is away.
What You'll Do
You’ll own TheyDo’s day-to-day finance operations for the length of the cover. That means running month-end, invoicing customers, handling Dutch tax and compliance, and making sure the business keeps operating with confidence.
This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role. You’ll step into processes that are already in place, so you’ll need to get up to speed quickly and take ownership from early on. You’ll keep things running smoothly and improve them where you see gaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Running month-end reporting and bookkeeping.
- Producing accurate profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Managing employee expenses across multiple regions.
- Owning invoicing and collections from our customers.
- Supporting Dutch tax filings and compliance.
- Keeping financial models accurate and useful (with leadership support).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Recent experience using NetSuite (within the last 4 years).
- A recognised accounting qualification.
- 2–4 years of post-qualification experience.
- Essential startup/scale-up experience.
- Ability to land quickly, own the finance function without hand-holding, and improve processes as you go.
Benefits & Perks
- Compensation & Equity: Competitive pay and pre-IPO equity package.
- Flexible Remote Work: Fully remote with flexible hours.
- Health & Wellbeing: Comprehensive health insurance and a dedicated wellbeing budget (gym, meditation, yoga).
- Time Off: Minimum 25 days paid holiday (pro rata) plus public holidays and an annual winter shutdown in December.
- Parental Leave & Childcare: Paid parental leave and childcare leave support.
- Growth Budget: Dedicated learning and development funds.
- Workspace Support: Home office stipend or co-working space support, plus tech hardware (MacBook Air or Pro).
- Company Retreats: Regular in-person team retreats.
