About the Role
As an Account Executive on the Commercial Install Base team, you will own and grow a portfolio of existing Vercel customers. You will lead the full commercial relationship, including account strategy, pipeline generation, expansion, renewal, and retention. You will partner with developers, engineering leaders, and procurement stakeholders to connect Vercel to meaningful business outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Portfolio Management: Own the commercial strategy, retention, and growth of a portfolio of existing customers.
- Account Planning: Build plans identifying customer priorities, key stakeholders, risks, and expansion opportunities.
- Pipeline Generation: Proactively prospect using product usage signals and account research.
- Relationship Building: Establish trust with developers, engineering leaders, and executives.
- Sales Cycles: Run end-to-end renewal and expansion cycles, including discovery, technical evaluation, and negotiation.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify customer risk early and develop clear plans to protect recurring revenue.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Solutions Architects, Developer Success, and Product teams to drive customer outcomes.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain accurate forecasts and use AI/automation to improve execution.
About You
- Proven history of achieving revenue targets through pipeline generation and closing.
- Experience owning and growing existing customer relationships (renewals/expansions).
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business value.
- Comfortable navigating complex organizations and multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Strong account planning, forecasting, and opportunity management discipline.
- Resilient, coachable, and collaborative team player.
Bonus Points
- Experience in SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, or developer tools.
- Experience selling to developers or engineering leaders.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
