Senior Technical Account Manager - Vercel

About Vercel

Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company. We create products like Next.js, v0, and the AI SDK that help builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience. We are trusted by industry leaders like OpenAI, PayPal, and Ramp.

About the Role

As a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) within our Forward Deployed Engineering organization, you will serve as the named, persistent technical owner for mission-critical customer workloads. You will act as a peer to VPs of Engineering and CTOs, ensuring technical continuity and driving long-term value for our strategic enterprise accounts.

This is a billable, customer-funded role. You will not be on-call, write production code, or carry a sales quota. Instead, you will own the technical relationship, drive proactive risk identification, and orchestrate Vercel’s broader engagement (Support, Engineering, Product) to ensure customer success.

What You Will Do

  • Own the post-sales technical relationship: Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, leading QBRs, roadmap workshops, and technical strategy.
  • Lead technical triage: Own post-incident patterns, drive root-cause analysis, and manage remediation roadmaps.
  • Drive proactive strategy: Provide architectural guidance, cost optimization, and pre-launch readiness assessments.
  • Orchestrate engagement: Scope and coordinate hands-on work with Forward Deployed Engineers and Professional Services teams.
  • Advocate for the customer: Translate technical needs into actionable signals for Vercel’s Product and Engineering teams.
  • Ensure self-funding value: Drive platform adoption and usage optimization to ensure high renewal rates and customer satisfaction.

About You

  • 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role (TAM, Solutions Architect, Developer Success, or Field Engineer).
  • Deep experience with platform products, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Ability to quickly master unfamiliar technical products and architectures.
  • Strong written communication skills, capable of distilling complex technical situations for executive stakeholders.
  • High agency and ability to steer cross-functional outcomes without formal authority.
  • Willingness to travel 4-8 times per year for customer engagements.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package, including equity.
  • Inclusive Healthcare Package.
  • Mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Flexible Time Off.
  • Gear and WFH budget to outfit your workspace.
