About the Role

Vercel is scaling fast, and we are building the financial infrastructure, controls, and operating discipline needed to support our continued growth and path to the public markets. We are looking for a SOX Manager based in India to serve as the India execution leader for Vercel’s SOX program, working in close partnership with our US-based SOX leader and the broader Finance organization.

What You Will Do

• Own key execution workstreams across business process, entity-level, and IT controls.
• Lead walkthroughs, risk assessments, control design evaluations, and testing for significant financial processes (revenue, order-to-cash, financial close, procure-to-pay, payroll, treasury, and tax).
• Lead IT SOX execution across ITGCs, automated and application controls, IPE, SaaS and internally developed systems, and SDLC dependencies.
• Lead the day-to-day SOX PMO, coordinating with the US-based SOX leader, external auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify potential control deficiencies, perform root-cause assessments, and partner with control owners to remediate issues.
• Develop and maintain clear control documentation, including process narratives and risk/control matrices.
• Leverage AI and automation to improve control monitoring, evidence collection, and reporting.

About You

• 8+ years of progressive experience in SOX, internal/external audit, IT audit, or risk advisory.
• Hands-on experience across both business process and IT controls (ITGCs, access, change management, SDLC).
• Experience reviewing SOC 1 reports and assessing impact on the control environment.
• Strong knowledge of SOX 404 and ICFR methodology.
• Experience evaluating controls in complex environments (ERP, CRM, HRIS, billing/payments).
• Strong program management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Pragmatic builder mindset with experience using automation to scale controls.

Bonus Points

• Big 4 or top-tier advisory experience.
• Experience scaling a SOX program at a high-growth SaaS or pre-IPO company.
• Experience with usage-based revenue models or complex billing flows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems; CA, CPA, CIA, or CISA preferred.
